Tadhg Daly Shares ‘Forever Young’ Live Clip

It's a dynamic performance from the Irish riser...

Irish songwriter Tadhg Daly has shared a live take on his song 'Forever Young'.

The singer's new EP – also called 'Forever Young' – is out on October 29th, and it marks a fresh chapter from this talented young artist.

The title track is online now, a dynamic offering that dips into darker elements of Tadhg's past. Billing it "a story of the pain and confusion I felt growing up and trying to find my place in the world," he adds that it is: "seen through the eyes of a teenager being bullied in school on the brink of breakdown alone in their bedroom. The main line in the chorus is what I would tell my younger self: It's alright to feel this way…"

We've grabbed a powerful live performance of the song, one that showcases Tadhg Daly alongside his full live band. A return to the art of performance, it allows the Irish songwriter to fully explore the song's emotional resonance.

He comments: "Playing live is my favourite part of this whole thing by far so to have this kind of content means so much to me as an artist. The band I play with in the video is made up of some of my closest friends which makes the whole thing so much more meaningful to me as playing music with our mates is really how most of us got into this industry. On bass/guitars/keys are the two producers that made this EP with me, Andy Hall and Dustin Dooley, Jan Simson is on the SPD/drums."

"When we made these videos we were still in lockdown and hadn’t played live in such a long time so it really lifted our spirits and reminded us of what was to come back and how much we all missed it. For anyone that hasn’t been back to a live show yet for whatever reason, I hope this video acts as some kind of middle ground for you."

Tune in now.
