TAAHLIAH and Loraine James unite on fiery new track ‘Fuck It!’ – tune in now.
Glasgow trailblazer TAAHLIAH caught attention last year, with her excellent dancefloor burner ‘Angelica’ earning justified plaudits. Since then, she’s held down some key radio spots, as well as lighting up clubs across the country.
The producer shared a stage with Loraine James, who then slid into her DMs to keep in touch. Their diaries intertwined at one point, allowing the two to head into Warp Records’ in-house studios in London.
‘Fuck It!’ emerged from that helter-skelter session, a forceful, dynamic piece of ultra-muscular electronics that has a sting in its tail. Playful in a colourful manner, the collaboration borrows DNA from both artists to become something distinct in its own right.
Looking ahead, TAAHLIAH will be collaborating with the London Contemporary Orchestra on a one-off show on February 1st at Southbank Centre.
