System Olympia has announced a brand new EP ‘Sanctified’, out May 16th via her own imprint Okay Nature Records.
The Italian-born, London-based producer, songwriter and vocalist, illustrates love on the dancefloor with sensory offerings, drawing together influences plucked from erotic literature, late-night drives and nostalgia. Melding together the sounds of Italo disco, synthpop and house grooves, the polymath pieces together evocative soundscapes, spotlighting a broad range of voices and perspectives across her work.
’Sanctified’ features Yorkshire band Working Men’s Club, and brims with unbridled passion, pairing rich, smoky percussion with luminous synths and sentiments of longing and redemption. Vocally, the track experiments with space, a performance piece that feels both intimate and distant in one digital brushstroke.
At the heart of the EP of the same name, lies “a raw exploration of emotions, a tempest of intimacy; love, longing and the restlessness of the heart and the body.” It features three other tracks: ‘Luce Rossa’, ‘Lenzuola Di Raso’ and ‘Mi Dementico’.
Listen to ‘Sanctified’ now.
