SUUNS Share Ambient Fever Dream ‘Doreen’

Their next full-length 'The Breaks' is out this September...

Experimental outfit SUUNS have shared the second single from their forthcoming sixth LP, ‘The Breaks’, out September 6th via Joyful Noise Recordings/Secret City Records.

The Montreal trio – Ben Shemie, Joseph Yarmush, and Liam O’Neill – follow up the release of the album’s title track with ‘Doreen’; a love-drenched lament and a searching prayer, played out over a gradually-building and enveloping electro-acoustic odyssey.

“The ‘Doreen’ in question,” says vocalist and guitarist Ben Shemie, “doesn’t per se symbolise a specific person, but the mysteries that inspire you to move forward, yet are never fully attained. It’s a futile quest, as thoughts, feelings, sounds, and images will eternally slip through your fingers, unbound from action or creation.”

Forthcoming collection ‘The Breaks’ captures SUUNS at “their most panoramic, curious, and exuberant: a constant relay of being adrift and enlightened anew, geared up to eleven.” Following the album’s September release, SUUNS will embark on a tour that will take them to London, and throughout Europe.
