Surfer Blood are set to release their new album 'Pythons' later this year.
Shot through with lo-fi charm and perfect melodies, Surfer Blood's debut album 'Astro Coast' made a deep impression on its release back in 2010. Since then, though, all fans have been given to tide themselves is a solitary EP – 2011's 'Tarot Classics'.
Now they're back. Surfer Blood teamed up with legendary producer Gil Norton (of Foo Fighters, Pixies vintage) at EastWest Studios, Hollywood last year, scribbling down new material as and when it popped into their heads.
Gathered on their second album, 'Pythons' is set to see the light of day this summer. Out on June 17th, Surfer Blood offered fans a preview back in January when new track ‘Weird Shapes’ hit the web.
Today, though, we've got something new to offer you. 'Demon Dance' is a more polished, refined take on that original sound, with Surfer Blood retaining the feral pop touch which made 'Astro Coast' so charming on the ears.
