Super Furry Animals Studio Footage

Welsh group work on new album

Welsh psychedelic pop heroes Super Furry Animals are working on their new album, and the band have posted astonishing new footage of the songs being assembled.

One of the most inventive pop acts in the world today, Super Furry Animals have a cult fanbase to whom each release is like a new day being added to the week. Album number nine is not yet titled, but should be available later this year.

To celebrate its release the band have taken camcorders into the studio with them, and the results give an amazing insight into the recording process.

Containing everything from snapshots to extended monologues, the films are a must see for fans. Inspired by Mike Figgis’s ground breaking film ‘Time Code’ the episodes will be released in 21 individual episodes starting on the 23rd February.

A message from the ‘SFA Film Council’ reads as follows:

“Ah! Greetings friends, join us for the next few weeks as we finish up our new album for your ears. We have borrowed 4 video cameras from friends and family and we will document events as they unfold, hopefully with as little drama as possible.”

Super Furry Animals will release their new album on April 16th.
