Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam’s New Single Is A Blast Of Guitar Joy

'Meatloaf To The Camera' is incoming on By The Time It Gets Dark...

Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam seem to tap into the sweet, innocent thrills guitar music can offer.

That doesn't make them twee, however – far from it, with their previous records hitting harder than most.

New album 'Blackout Cowboy' out via By The Time It Gets Dark on November 9th (pre-order LINK), and it conjures visions of Teenage Fanclub, Swervedriver, Guided By Voices, and more.

Reflecting their newly expanded line up, it's a tad more ambitious, more confident than their debut, while retaining that frayed-at-the-edges charm.

New single 'Meatloaf To The Camera' channels the band's innate melodic charm through a few beat up Big Muff pedals, a love song in reverse that portrays a "doomed relationship" while retaining an incessant optimism.

The band's Pete Dixon offers some insight to the track; “It’s about a doomed relationship, like a love song but where things just get worse from the moment it starts.

Kind of the reverse of the usual love ballad, it changes key at the end which I like to think represents that optimism of picking yourself up and trying again.”

Tune in now.
