The psych-pop group's evolution continues on new album 'Headful Of Sugar', which lands on May 6th via Lucky Number.
Growing ever-outwards, Sunflower Bean adopt new sonic tropes, while pushing themselves lyrically, too.
'Roll The Dice' is an example of both attributes, with Sunflower Bean taking aim at the hallowed vision of the American Dream.
Penned by a generation who have had to scrape together purely to survive, the song peels away the veneer to reveal huge rents, escalating debt, and stagnating wages.
Sunflower Bean explain…
“Almost everyone we know struggles with money. The traditional routes towards success and stability in America have severely narrowed. The only way to get ahead is to take big risks and roll the dice.”
