Singer To Curate Special Event

Cult singer songwriter Sufjan Stevens is set t curate a very special night of music and other entertainment when he joins up with the Brooklyn Academy Of Music on September 27th.

Sufjan Stevens enjoys a close relationship with the Brooklyn Academy Of Music, with the organization recently commissioned the singer to write the award-winning "The BQE" piece.

The event is to be titled "Takeover" and will be a series of nights where artists take over the Academy building and programme a series of events. The bill for the event currently includes St. Vincent, Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Daptone Records own Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens and many others. Sufjan Stevens isn't scheduled to play live, but you can never bet against it.

Amongst the other events planned for the "Takeover" are sets from DJs King Britt and Vikter Duplaix, a film schedule, table tennis and a Wii tournament. Because no self-respecting arts event is complete without a Wii.
