The Street’s brummie poet Mike Skinner has spoken out against Lily Allen, telling the singer to stop courting press attention is she wants to avoid the paparazzi.
The Streets recently released their fourth album ‘Everything Is Borrowed’ – which promptly flew into the Top Ten. The album finds Skinner in reflective, contemplating life’s existence as well as providing the usual thrills and spills that have made his name.
The rapper was in no mood to be quiet however, when a recent interview with The Sun touched on the topic of celebrity culture, and in particular the ‘Smile’ singer Lily Allen. Sinner raged that he was tired of reading Allen’s “moaning”.
“It makes me think, ‘Just stop giving them such good stories to write about and it’ll all go away’,” he said.
“For God’s sake, people — don’t you get it? She wants all of the photographers following her round. She needs it.”
