Veronica Falls are streaming a new mixtape after announcing a series of Spring tour dates.
Veronica Falls have an innocence, a charm that can’t be faked. Perhaps it comes from the band’s disparate backgrounds: while Roxanne Clifford and Patrick Doyle are indie pop veterans, bass player Marion Herbain had never been in a band before.
It’s impossible to fake her wide eyed sincerity, with Marion Herbain adding much more to the group than a quick bass line. Recently compiling a mixtape, the bass player has been given space to reveal a little something about herself.
Streaming now, the mix is shies away from crate-digging to focus on the personal. In her own words: “This may not be a mix to do Hornby’s Rob Fleming character in “High Fidelity” proud, but these songs are a collection of my all-time favourites. They take me back to key moments in my life, happy or sad and reflect on the different places I have lived and some of the people I met along the way…”
