Ramona Lisa is the current incarnation of Caroline Polachek.
Perhaps best known as the lead signer of Chairlift, the songwriter used breaks in her schedule to piece together a few ideas.
Working directly into her laptop, new album 'Arcadia' was recorded piecemeal. Assembled bit by bit, these intimate, DIY sessions were bookended by by spells in an empty studio in Rome's Villa Medici.
Showing wonderful ingenuity, Polacheck filters digital instrumentation through her laptop. The results are surprisingly broad-ranging, with 'Arcadia' having a much broader, lusher feel that you might expect.
Out on April 28th, Ramona Lisa's album 'Arcadia' will become the first release on Pannonica – a new imprint for the Bella Union family.
