If you're reading this, then - sadly - you're probably not there.
Iceland Airwaves, we mean. You won't be swimming in the Blue Lagoon, dining on exotic Nordic recipes, hob-nobbing with Bjork and watching acoustic sets by the side of a rumbling volcano.
Thankfully, the Nordic Playlist team are operating on site in Reykjavik and they want your ears. Set up earlier this year, the Nordic Playlist will invite DJs and hosts from across the Nordic countries, showcasing new talent in the process.
Amongst the names agreeing to take part are BBC Radio One’s Huw Stephens, NRK P3′s Christine Dancke and SVT PSL’s Per Sinding-Larsen, among others.
The three day programme will feature a host of surprises, including sets from Iceland's Àsgeir, Finland's Jaakko Eino Kalevi and Faroese artist Byrta live in the Nordic Playlist Radio Bar - a pop up studio within an old shop.
Francine Gorman, editor of the Nordic Playlist says: "This is a very exciting event, which will take the ‘discovery’ element of the Nordic Playlist to another level. We’ll be celebrating the diversity and talent of the Nordic region through shows hosted by renowned and respected radio DJs, as well as highlighting the artists and DJs that have been featured on the Nordic Playlist so far."
Tune in HERE.
