Stream: How To Dress Well – Cold Nites

New single emerges...

Following up from last month’s ‘Ocean Floor For Everything’ comes the latest cut from experimental maestro Tom Krell aka How To Dress Well.

The ethereal musings of ‘Cold Nites’ continue in the same stripped back direction as the Brooklyn native’s previous work, both evocative and beautifully minimal and all in preparation for his sophomore LP ‘Total Loss’. Krell tiptoes with grace over a shuffling drum pattern in an ode to the sensual debauchery of R&B slow jams in the late-90s.

Last summer, How To Dress Well called on the help of producer, Rodaidh McDonald, who has previously assisted similarly woozy artists such as The xx and King Krule.

The single exposes a sample of the internal happenings of the upcoming album after 2010’s debut, ‘Love Remains’, which seemed to spark an entire swathe of fractured R&B.

Listen to ‘Cold Nites’ below.

Total Loss is out on September 17th through WEIRD WORLD and can be pre-ordered here.

How To Dress Well will be performing ‘Total Loss’ material in the UK for the first time on August 8th at London’s Birthdays.
