The Nicolas Jaar bolstered project Darkside are streaming a track from their new EP ‘Don’t Break My Love’.
Releasing his debut album earlier this year, Nicolas Jaar has become one of the most dissected electronic artists of 2011. ‘Space Is Only Noise’ took techno in new directions, with the South American producer applying a rich emotional touch to his material.
Playing a number of spell-binding shows throughout the summer, Nicolas Jaar recently began focussing on new material. ‘Space Is Only Noise’ was re-pressed, while the EP ‘Don’t Break My Love’ was released as a free download.
Much more than offcuts from his debut album, ‘Don’t Break My Love’ had a unique identity of its own. Available through the producer’s own Clown & Sunset label, the imprint is also set to provide a home for a new project.
Nicolas Jaar recently teamed up with guitarist Dave Harrington to work on new material, resulting in the Darkside project. Set to gain a full release on December 1st, the duo decided to preview the EP by streaming the new track ‘A1’.
