Battles are continuing their remix series with a radical re-working of ‘White Electric’ by Shabazz Palaces.
Announced earlier this year, Battles’ remix series is rapidly beginning to demonstrate the same courage and great taste that runs through the band’s own material. Out on February 20th, ‘Dross Glop 2’ is the second in a series of four 12 inches, in which the band hand their material over to guest producers.
Shabazz Palaces opted to re-worked ‘White Electric’ and has handed in a stunning remix. Essentially re-building the track from the ground up, Ishmael Butler adds some deft rhymes and plenty of bonus production.
