Battles are streaming their new single ‘Ice Cream’ and have unveiled the art work to their upcoming album.

A near unstoppable avant rock juggernaut, Battles were stopped in their tracks a year ago. Singer Tyondai Braxton walked out, leaving the re-constituted trio to continue working on new material.

Recruiting a range of guest stars, new album ‘Gloss Drop’ features Kazu Makino, Yamantaka Eye, synth pop icon Gary Numan and more.

However Battles remain at the centre. The groundbreaking group are on typically seismic form, if new single ‘Ice Cream’ is anything to go by. Available to download now, the band are streaming the track on their SoundCloud…

Meanwhile, Battles have unveiled details of the artwork for ‘Gloss Drop’. Crafted by Dave Konopka, the design has been previewed with a special billboard campaign in spots around the world.

Battles are due to release ‘Gloss Drop’ on June 6th.
