Stormzy has shared his new ‘Angel In The Marble’ freestyle.
The UK icon is having a stylish summer, with his RAYE collaboration ‘The Weekend’ smashing into the charts. Toasting his 30th birthday last week, his #TheMikeGala brought out a raft of greats across music, fashion, and film.
The gala was attended by a plethora of huge names, including Louis Theroux, Dina Asher-Smith, Skepta, Judi Love, Burna Boy, Danny Dyer, Alison Hammond, Ghetts, Wretch 32 and many, many, more.
New drop ‘Angel In The Marble’ freestyle picks up on this energy, with Stormzy delivering some shattering bars. Re-asserting Black British manhood, the track revels in his era-defining impact while also looking to fresh challenges.
“Now look at me, chiseled like da Vinci reappeared in ‘93” he raps “I found my inner Preston and I went and set him free. Now we the Black Beatles, let it be.”
The video for ‘Angel In The Marble’ was spiced together by film maker Tony Roscoe, a candid performance from the man they call Big Mike.
