Finally, a story we can cheer this morning…
Stormzy's joke on Twitter that he might run for Prime Minister is going viral. The grime don made the joke this morning, as the outcome of the EU referendum became clear.

Fans got involved, however, it soon took on the markings of a real life campaign:

But why not? After all, Stormzy's always been a very considered, intelligent artist, and before he broke through even considered studying at Oxford – a hub for many British Prime Ministers before him.
Earlier this year Stormzy was invited to speak at the Oxford Union, and it was a pretty impressive appearance. Decrying misogyny in rap music and the proliferation of the n-word in society, the grime figure impressed everyone who was lucky enough to be there.
Of course, it will probably never happen… but d'you what? He'd get our vote.
