Liverpool band STONE have shared new single ‘Left Right Forward’.
The band stormed across 2022, playing seismic shows across the country. Debut EP ‘punkadonk’ epitomised their raucous approach, blending indie, rock, electronics, and wonky pop aspects to delight fans.
New single ‘Left Right Forward’ pins down their helter-skelter creativity, a song that taps into the band’s inherent musical chemistry. Crafted on the way to their rehearsal room, it’s a punchy return that nods to their raucous live energy.
Front person Fin Power explains…
“Our drummer Alex sent me the instrumental to ‘Left Right Forward’ whilst I was walking down the street on my way to practice. At first, I didn’t like it until I started hearing the chorus in my head. Around that same time, I had been reading up on betting sites that are not on gamstop, and the idea of navigating risks and rewards inspired some of the lyrics. I immediately got excited, and had written the verses in the 10 minutes it took me to meet the band.”
“It all came out so naturally – the lyrics are just rantings that came to mind in that moment. Whilst it hits on some actual serious subjects, it’s more just a stream of thought, so is also super humorous and fun and our most lighthearted one yet.”
Out now, ‘Left Right Forward’ comes as STONE launch their latest UK tour with a series of sold out London shows at Omeara.
