Stereophonics Car Chase

Welsh Rockers In High Speed Drama

Welsh rock group Stereophonics have been involved in a high speed chase on Sunday (September 21st) after their bus driver refused orders by Canadian patrolmen to pull over.

The band are currently touring North America and were traveling between dates when the incident happened. Canadian border patrolmen chased the bus for two miles, before finally getting the driver to pull over at 4am local time.

Funnily enough, their only offense had been to park illegally. Lead singer Kelly Jones told British red top The Sun all about the incident by saying “what a day. We got chased by the cops for two miles – for illegal parking.”

To makes matters worse, he told the patrolmen that he was friends with infamous drugs smuggler and spoken word artist Howard Marks. “It was aggressive border control,” he explained. “One of the guards started talking about a guy who used to smuggle drugs through bands’ equipment. I said: ‘Are you talking about Howard Marks? He’s my friend.’ You can imagine the rest.”
