Stephen Sanchez will release debut album ‘Angel Face’ on September 22nd.
The American artist has enjoyed a stellar summer, hitting Glastonbury to duet with Sir Elton John at his record-breaking farewell. Working on his own material, breakout hit ‘Until I Found You’ has now clocked up more than a billion streams.
The single forms the fulcrum of his debut album. Out on September 22nd, ‘Angel Face’ trace the life and times of the fictional Stephen Sanchez – The Troubadour Sanchez – who hits it big in 1958, before stumbling through fame and misfortune.
Meeting his beloved Evangeline in 1964 changes his life, and new single ‘Be More’ is the first flourishing of this fictional relationship.
“It’s a dialogue between lovers, in this case ‘The Troubadour Sanchez’ and Evangeline. ‘The Troubadour Sanchez’ is saying how much he wants Evangeline and asking her to ‘Be More’. For instance, ‘Be More’ is far more than ‘I love you’ and ‘I need you’. Both sides are begging and proclaiming love. That’s the purpose of the song. It affirms your love is far more than you could ever understand, know, or hold within your hands by yourself.”
