Steam Down Share Soulful Cut ‘Untie’

And announce a UK tour, too...

Steam Down have shared their new single 'Untie'.

The London collective are known for their frenetic percussive attack, blending club tropes with the possibilities of jazz improvisation.

New EP 'Five Fruit' – out on September 24th – is broader than this, however, and dips into slower tempos, and more soul-derived songwriting.

Take new single 'Untie'. Lady Shaynah's gorgeous vocals speak about self-love and taking control of your life, amid introspective harmonies.

Founder Ahnansé says the song explores the idea that “we must untie our hearts from our minds in order to stop ourselves sinking deeper into unhealthy mental states in times of inner turmoil. In this parting of the mind and heart, we can find the strength to be gentle and compassionate in order to reconnect with the peace within ourselves."

With Steam Down re-launching their residency at South London's Matchstick Piehouse, the band have also laid out plans for a full UK tour.
