St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein are seemingly working on a new comedy concert film together.
The two have grown close of late, with Annie Clark set to produce the new Sleater-Kinney album.
Alongside this, the two have embarked on writing sessions, plotting out a new comedy venture.
As reported by Collider, the musicians are sketching out a comedy concert film featuring exaggerated versions of themselves.
Stereogum has since spoken to a source at the studio, and they claim it “isn’t a ‘mockumentary,’ as Collider first reported, but rather, a scripted film that was to have been shot like a documentary.”
Carrie Brownstein is in line to co-produce alongside Jett Steiger and Lana Kim, while her Portlandia editor and director Bill Benz is set to direct.
No word yet on a potential release date, but let's be honest - this will be worth watching.
