Electronic genius (and mighty fine bass player) Squarepusher is set to return soon with his new album “Just A Souvenir”, set to be released through long time home Warp Records on October 27th.
Real name Tom Jenkinson, Squarepusher has specialized in a series of albums that twist and turn electronic music into something that is by turns unsettling and beautiful.
Squarepusher’s last album was the acclaimed “Hello Everything”, released in 2006 to critical acclaim. After a period in isolation planning his next move, Squarepusher is set for a live return later this year when he plays the All Tomorrow’s Parties event “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
New album “Just A Souvenir” will no doubt be typically frenetic burst of avant garde energy, and a preview is available at the Warp Records myspace page where album track “Delta-v” is currently streaming.
