American musical legend Bruce Springsteen is understood to have entered the recording to studio to begin work on his eagerly anticipated new album.
Springsteen has been extremely busy of late, conducting a massive tour of the USA as well as playing numerous solo shows in support of Barack Obama. The Boss has played to huge crowds in an attempt to increase voter registration and promote Obama. Tactics that seem to have worked, with the African-American politician being elected to the highest office in America.
Springsteen’s last album was 2007’s set ‘Magic’ – widely acclaimed as one of his finest albums in years. It has been rumored that the new album will be quickly recorded and released to coincide with Obama’s inauguration as President.
The singer has already previewed one new song, with ‘Workin’ On A Dream’ being played at an Obama rally in Cleveland.
As previously reported, Bruce Springsteen and long term group The E Street Band will play the half time show at this year’s Superbowl.
