American star Bruce Springsteen has been confirmed as the lead performer at the upcoming Hard Rock Calling event in Hyde Park.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to begin a new world tour in April, promoting celebrated album ‘Working On A Dream’. The record has gone to number one on both sides of the Atlantic, and is filled with optimism with some tracks being premiered on the campaign trail with Barack Obama.
The Boss has played a number of high profile gigs recently, including the Presidential Inauguration and the Superbowl.
The forthcoming Hyde Park date is one of only a very few European dates confirmed, although there are strong rumours he will play Glastonbury after confirming a set at Coachella.
Support at the Hard Rock Calling event will come from veterans the Dave Matthews Band as well as The Gaslight Anthem.
