Springsteen Cancels Halloween

Celebration Cancelled

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen has cancelled his now traditional Halloween celebration at his mansion in New Jersey.

The Boss has invited his neighbors round for a spooky party each year for some time now, but has decided to cancel this year’s event. Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa have decided that the event has become simply too large for them to handle.

In a statement on Springsteen’s official site the singer wrote:

“So as not to inconvenience you this Halloween, due to ‘catastrophic success’ (read: too many visitors for the neighborhood to handle) and concern for the safety of kids and parents! we won’t be having our usual Halloween display this year in Rumson.

“We wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween!”

Bruce Springsteen has been exceptionally busy of late, playing a world tour then squeezing in numerous dates in support of Barack Obama. The Boss has also been announced as the half time performer at the Superbowl on February 1st.
