Spiritualized In A & E

First New Album In 5 Years Due

The first new album from Spiritualized in five years will be called “Songs In A & E” and will be released on May 19th.

The band’s first album since 2003’s stripped down effort “Amazing Grace”, Spiritualized have spent the past few years hard at work – with head honcho Jason Pierce suffering from a severe illness in 2005.

Spiritualized emerged from noise-rock combo Spacemen 3, and went on to become one of the most acclaimed acts of the 90s. Combining avant garde jazz, with guitar drones and gospel choirs, their album “Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space” is widely regarded as a masterpiece.

Jason Pierce has also been hard at work soundtracking the Harmony Korine film “Mister Lonely”.

“Songs In A & E” is due to be released on May 19th.
