Spector are set to release their second album later this year, with the band hinting at a renewed sense of ambition, a further taste for exploration.
New single 'Bad Boyfriend' arrives on June 8th via Fiction, and it matches a fragile, classic pop melody to biting, sardonic lyrics.
“I'm worse than a bad boyfriend,” says Fred MacPherson, “I'm a bad artist.”
Seizing upon the minutia of a relationship, each lyric seems to twist and reveal new barbed spikes: "you think you're lonely now, wait till we're alone".
Check it out now.
Spector are set to play London's The Dome venue on June 11th.
