Scottish newcomers Sparrow And The Workshop have teamed up with ClashMusic to showcase their new video!
Arising from Glasgow’s ever buoyant music scene, Sparrow And The Workshop specialise in spine chilling alt folk. Indebted to the traditions of the States it sees folk music come full circle as Scots musicians add a tartan flavour.
Well known in their home city a tour with British Sea Power last year saw Sparrow And The Workshop reach a much wider audience. Swiftly returning to the studio the band have confirmed details of their new single.
‘Horses Grin’ a chilling slice of acoustic driven songwriting, with singer Jill O’Sullivan’s voice to the fore. The single is taken from a forthcoming EP and comes accompanied by a stunning new video.
Adding yet more atmosphere to the track the grainy footage mixes Blair Witch project with spectral folk. Spine chilling stuff that comes just a week too late for Halloween, it demonstrates the strength of Sparrow And The Workshop’s songwriting.
Due for release on November 23rd, Sparrow And The Workshop are set to follow this with an EP. Titled ‘Into The Wild’ it showcases the group’s versatility containing five tracks of shimmering beauty.
Due to be released on November 30th, Sparrow And The Workshop are set to follow the EP by heading back into the studio to begin work on their new album.
