Psychedelic Swedish types The Soundtrack Of Our Lives are set to celebrate the release of their new album with a one off London show.
Formed in Sweden some fifteen years ago, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives grew from the punk band Union Carbide Productions. Setting aside their chunky barre chords the band switched on to psych-rock, producing a life-affirming drone.
Indebted to groups such as Spiritualized, the band soon began picking up fans across the world. Debut album ‘Welcome To The Infant Freebase’ was a critical success, and was soon followed by ‘Extended Revelation for the Psychic Weaklings of Western Civilization’.
The band won admiring glances from British giants Oasis. Noel Gallagher is an outspoken supporter of the group, and has frequently invited them on tour. The two bands played a memorable tour of the United States back in 2002, which saw The Soundtrack Of Our Lives pick up plaudits for their electric live show.
The Soundtrack Of Our Lives have confirmed a new one off London date ahead of the release of their new album ‘Communion’. A stunning return, the album sees the Swedish group hone their songwriting skills without losing their epic edge.
The band’s longest album to date, ‘Communion’ is spread across two CDs and extends to a mind bending 24 tracks. Already picking up rave reviews, the album went Top Ten in their native Sweden upon its release last year.
In preparation for the album’s worldwide release, the band are due to give away one track on the third Sunday of every month. Given away via their official website, the band have already made one track ‘Ra88’ available to download.
Subsequent downloads include ‘Ego Delusion’ and a special ‘sermon’ from the band.
The Soundtrack Of Our Lives are set to release their new album ‘Communion’ on August 24th. The band have confirmed the following tour date:
