North London artist SOLOMON has shared his first release of the year, ‘steal my soul’.
A lilting, bossa-inspired cut ushering in the bloom of Springtime, ‘steal my soul’ charts unreciprocated feelings, power plays and hidden agendas in a relationship.
“It’s my honest take on what it feels like to be unwillingly and, at times, unknowingly used by someone with ulterior motives,” shares SOLOMON. “It highlights the discomfort of unbalance when one person wants love and the other wants something else, be it physical or material.”
Debut EP ‘For Starters’ set the confessional tone to SOLOMON’s repertoire. The release was followed up with fleeting 2023 EP ‘Voice Notes’ which honed the singer’s acoustic, homespun tales of love, loss and youthful exhuberance. Having begun playing piano at 7, guitar at 9 and gigging at 11, SOLOMON’s early influences included Paolo Nutini, Jack Johnson and John Mayer.
Last year, SOLOMON made his COLORS debut and toured North America with Pink Sweat$. Inspired by his time on the road and recent move to LA, SOLOMON has been putting the final touches on his soon-to-be announced next project. Stay tuned for more news soon.
