Los Angeles newcomers The Soft Pack are set to continue their assault on the UK with a new single and tour dates.
Hailing from Los Angeles The Soft Pack stormed into the public gaze via a sensational set at the annual CMJ conference. Blowing away the crowd in New York, the band became one of the showcase event’s biggest talking points.
A handful of dates earlier this year let the UK know what they were in for. Loud and brash, The Soft Pack’s retro rock flies in the face of Britain’s skinny jean wearing hipsters.
Since then, The Soft Pack have released their debut EP ‘Extinction’ on the cult Merok label. Quickly selling out, the EP followed the now-worth-a-fortune single ‘Brightside / Nightlife’ which earned rave reviews.
Now signed to the legendary Heavenly imprint, the band are set to return soon with a brand new seven inch.
Following sessions in New York with ace producer Eli Jennings forthcoming single ‘Answer To Yourself’ is another all out blast of rock ‘n’ roll. Featuring savage riffs peppered with low slung Peter Hook style bass, the single is set to be followed by a mini headline tour.
Opening with a show in Glasgow’s famous King Tuts venue the tour will take in dates in Manchester and London before heading off to the continent. With The Soft Pack’s live reputation preceding them this is a great chance to catch one of the most widely hailed new groups in some time.
