Soft Cell have shared brand new song 'Northern Lights'.
The iconic synth pop duo will bow out later this year, with Marc Almond and Dave Ball set to play a show at London's O2 Arena.
Alongside this Soft Cell have prepared a new 10 disc box set, with 'Keychains & Snowstorms: The Soft Cell Story' set to land on September 7th.
The box set is complimented by new compilation 'The Singles – Keychains & Snowstorms', which features two brand new songs.
New single 'Northern Lights' is online now, a pounding salute to the Northern Soul scene which inspired the band as teenagers.
The track namechecks Manchester's Twisted Wheel and Stoke's Golden Torch allnighters, while the relentless rhythm nods towards Motown's irresistible legacy.
Northern Soul is a recurring thread in Soft Cell's universe – 'Tainted Love' was famously a cover, nabbed from Gloria Jones' Wigan Casino classic.
