Sofia Kourtesis has shared new song ‘Vajkoczy’.
The producer always worked from a personal place, and her new album is no different. ‘Madres’ muses on familial bonds, a salute to the courage of her mother as she undergoes health treatment that eventually saves, and prolongs her life.
Taken from the album, ‘Vajkoczy’ is named in honour of the neurosurgeon who operated on her mother, an ode to the advancement of science, and our common humanity.
Melding together club tropes with those personal notes, Sofia Kourtesis lifts her sights still higher, resulting in some of her highest work yet.
She comments:
