Sofia Kourtesis Reworks Quantic’s ‘Run’

The Peruvian DJ and producer carries the essence of Berlin's sprawling nightlife scene...

Sofia Kourtesis has shared her remix of Quantic’s soulful heater ‘Run’.

Transforming into an after-hours anthem, the Peruvian DJ and producer amplifies the track’s original club tropes with an intricate yet fluid percussion. Fusing four-to-the-floor drum patterns with swelling keys and basslines, Andreya Triana’s bright tones cut through the production, delivering a rush of ecstasy across the hook. With echoes of her spellbinding debut album ‘Madres’, the artist elevates her craft through collaboration, asserting herself as a global force within dance music.

Based in Berlin, Kourtesis imagines the track amongst her city’s irrepressible nightlife: “Working on the Quantic remix was a lot of fun, I imagine people dancing in the Panorama Bar waiting for the curtains to go up and let the daylight in for a few seconds. Magic”

Drawing inspiration from Latin American music and culture, the remix picks up the pace for this upcoming summer season, unveiling a new dimension to Quantic’s eclectic full-length album, ‘Dancing While Falling’. With each step, the Brewdley-born Brooklyn-based musician continues to build his decade-spanning discography, offering a refreshing take on boogie, nu jazz, funk and beyond.

Tune in now.
