Alt-pop creative Sody returns with her new ‘Star Potential’ EP.

The songwriter scored a viral hit within two years of penning her first song, and since then her knack for ear-worm melodies and lyrical over-sharing has found an adoring fanbase. EPs like 2019’s ‘I’m Sorry, I’m Not Sorry’ and the following year’s ‘real growth takes time’ marked out her territory, while a collaboration with Cavetown saw two unique talents combine.

Out now, new single ‘Star Potential’ is an in-depth return, an EP that offers Sody at her most open. Reflecting on her life, the songs are unafraid to embrace those feels, while also displaying her penchant for wonderful melodies.

A highly musical songwriter, Sody builds a quietly emphatic body of work – from the title track to lead single ‘Trust’ and beyond, it’s the sound of someone speaking their truth.

Sody comments…

This EP is all about acceptance and self reflection. Accepting who you are as a person, accepting that you’re better off without the people who did you wrong, accepting where you are now. It’s a reflection on difficult situations by acknowledging them and learning from them! I’m so happy to finally have new music out again. This body of work has been a long-time coming and I’m so proud to be releasing it independently!”
