Based in Mayrhofen, Austria, the Snowbombing festival has earned a cult reputation due to its mixture of stunning scenery, extreme sports and cool tunes. Ths year’s festival looks to be no different, and the organisers have been kind enough to bring some of that Alpine flavour to the UK.
A series of warm up events will prepare club goers and gig regulars for the unique taste of Snowbombing magic. Launching in its conceptual home of Manchester, the Bugged Out DJ team will bring along some frozen beats.
The good ship Snowbombing then pulls into Portsmouth where it will disembark with some rockin’ beats – DJs will include none other than Scratch Perverts.
A quick hop on a snowmobile will bring the party to London, where a special “Tape The Top 40” event will act as a uniquely nostalgiac take on the Snowbombing atmosphere. The final part of the Snowbombing programme will take place at London’s ‘Together’ venue, for a metaphorical (we hope) avalanche of DJs, performers and bands.
The Snowbombing festival itself takes place in Mayrhofen, Austria between March 31st and April 6th.
The dates for the Snowbombing jaunt are:

February 16th – Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth (featuring Scratch Perverts, Albino Monkey)
February 22nd – The Westbury, London (Tape The Top 40 Party)
