Northern Irish indie giants Snow Patrol have finished their whirlwind ‘Four Cities’ tour, and have revealed that ‘Crack The Shutters’ will be the band’s next single.
Snow Patrol are currently on the road promoting new album ‘A Hundred Million Suns’ and have been attempting to play four gigs in just under two days. The Northern Irish group played a gig in Edinburgh yesterday, and the crowd loved the band’s new material. Bass player Paul was on familiar turf – he grew up in the city. “Seeing as it was Edinburgh and the pubs stay open pretty much 24 hours a day, everyone was drunk maybe. It was the best crowd. Brilliant.” he told the BBC.
The band then hopped into a plane and travelled to London, where they completed the tour. Despite their massive chart success singer Gary Lightbody is refusing to get carried away. “We’re not sort of fuelled by chart positions, it’s more about playing for us, it always was.”
“It would be nice to sell a few records in a few countries we’ve never sold in before.
Snow Patrol released ‘A Hundred Million Suns’ on October 27th. The group’s next single will be ‘Crack The Shutters’.
