Scots-Irish stadium rockers Snow Patrol are set to launch new album 'A Hundred Million Suns' by playing an incredible whistle stop tour.

The band were formed in Dundee by Irish and Scottish students, before decamping to Glasgow to find fame and fortune. This complicated back story is reflected in Snow Patrol's new 'Four Cities Tour' which begins in Dublin before moving to Belfast, Edinburgh and London.

Snow Patrol have set themselves the challenge of completing this mammoth journey in just two days. The band's fifth album, 'A Hundred Million Suns' was recorded in the same Berlin studio where David Bowie crafted such classics as 'Low' and 'Heroes'. Steeped in history, the studio helped the group craft what may well be their best album yet with the aid of long time producer Jacknife Lee.

'A Hundred Million Suns' is released on October 27th. Snow Patrol will play the following dates:

October 26th - Dublin, The Gate Theatre
October 26th - Belfast, The Empire
October 27th - Edinburgh, Assembly Room
October 27th - London, The Bloomsbury Theatre
