Snow Patrol are set to head to number one with their new album ‘Fallen Empires’.
Snow Patrol are now big business. Sure, the band have their detractors but no one can deny that the Northern Irish group have been able to take their music to the masses, scoring enormous commercial success in the process.
Recorded in Los Angeles with Jacknife Lee, new album ‘Fallen Empires’ has notched up massive first week sales. With pre-orders boosting first day takings, Snow Patrol are almost ensured of number one this Sunday (November 20th).
The band are currently outselling JLS, with the pop act lingering at number two with their new album. American rapper Drake sits at number four, while the hip hop star’s new single set to remain in the Top Ten.
Elsewhere on the album charts, Coldplay move up to fifth position with their new album ‘Mylo Xyloto’. The British act announced a full stadium tour this week, with tickets set to go on sale tomorrow (November 17th).
