Snail Mail and Mac DeMarco combine on new song ‘A Cuckhold’s Refrain – Peppermint Patty’.
The collaboration was released a few hours ago, and it’s a tongue-in-cheek piece of indie pop. Snail Mail takes the verses, while Mac’s inimitable voice handles the chorus. The title references a Peanuts character, while the lyrics discuss… being cuckolded.
“You and my wife, me in my shed,” sings Snail Mail, with Mac adding: “If I had known just one night would cuck me out of my own home.”
Snail Mail’s album ‘Valentine’ was released last year; Mac DeMarco’s previous album ‘Here Comes The Cowboy’ was released in 2019.
