Smashing Pumpkins Live DVD

First For US Grunge Group

American grunge-goth superstars Smashing Pumpkins have announced that they are to celebrate their 20th anniversary with the release of their first ever concert DVD.

The band were one of the best selling American acts of the 90s, with their album “Mellon Collin And The Infinite Sadness” becoming a celebrated alternative album. Led by Billy Corgan, the group split on the cusp of the new millennium before recently reforming.

The new concert DVD will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their initial foundation. “If It All Goes Wrong” is a double disc package, due out in the US on November 11th. The package will contain a 105 minute documentary alongside footage from the group’s 11 night residency at the Filmore Auditorium in San Francisco in the summer of last year/

Billy Corgan described the shows in the following statement:

“We went into the residencies hopeful to play some new music, with the idea I would write during the day and we could maybe even play new songs that same night. What I didn’t anticipate is how much the process would inspire me, positively and negatively, to report what I was seeing and feeling from the shows. The documentary shows that process in an interesting way that reveals the link between the band and our audience.”

“If It Goes Wrong”, the new Smashing Pumpkins live DVD, is set to be released on November 11th in the US.
