Ghanaian producer Smallgod recruits a stellar cast for infectious single ‘Kusuu’.
Renowned as one of the go-to figures in Ghanaian music – and West African creativity more generally – Smallgod has recruited a stunning creative network. Seriously, the man knows everyone – anyone who comes through Ghana, knows to dial him up.
New single ‘Kusuu’ comes ahead of his upcoming studio album – out on March 1st – and it’s incredibly catchy, displaying Smallgod’s free-flowing creativity.
The energy doesn’t dip, with Smallgod (the name comes from his grandmother, by the way) blending trans-Atlantic styles. Merging drill aspects with afrobeats, ‘Kusuu’ is immediate but also precociously detailed with sonic elements.
On the mic, Smallgod gathers a pan-diaspora team, with features from Abra Cadabra, Odumodublvck, and Kweku Flick.
Serious heat from the off, ‘Kusuu’ lands on the first day of Spring – get some sunshine into your life.
Tune in now.
