slowthai has revealed new song ‘i know nothing’.
The Northampton rapper signalled his return recently, revealing on social media that his third album was “done”. Debut album ‘Nothing Great About Britain’ notched up a Mercury nomination, while follow up ‘Tyrone’ was an ambitious double LP.
A new song was sneaked out surreptitiously via a Beats By Dre ad, with slowthai lending unheard material to the campaign.
Out now, ‘i know nothing’ is all stabbing guitars and paranoid energy, with production coming from Speedy Wunderground guru Dan Carey. As such, it echoes the slate grey post-punk of Fontaines D.C. say, while also adding in a little slowthai spice.
