Los Angeles group Slow Hollows are an emphatically creative prospect.
Everything about their music feels hand-crafted, right down to the manner of its release – on their very own Not Another Word imprint.
New album 'Actors' lands on October 23rd, and it will be followed by some huge live shows with The Neighbourhood.
The band are led by the songwriting force of Austin Anderson, who seems to find beauty in the most unexpected of moments.
Dappled and almost Autumnal, 'Two Seasons' is the perfect example of this. From the crisp production through to those emphatic piano notes, the slight element of slide guitar and the elegant electronics, it's sophisticated while being resolutely honest.
With a vocal that moves from urgent heart-pouring to something rather more whispered, 'Two Seasons' is wonderfully balanced.
A sign of what's to come – the full album features Tyler, The Creator, Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor and more – this is a highly evocative starting point.
Tune in now.
