Sheffield folk pop two piece Slow Club are set to cap a wonderful year with a special Christmas show at the Union Chapel in London.
Comprising just two members, Slow Club have built a cult following with their angelic twee pop disguising some barbed lyrics. Charles and Rebecca, as they are known, were snapped up by hip imprint Moshi Moshi – so goo they named it twice.
Early single ‘Because We’re Dead’ appeared on the label retrospective earlier this year, boosting the duo’s profile considerably. A new EP ‘Let’s Fall back In Love’ contained live anthem ‘Summer Shakedown’ and won the group even more great reviews.
To top a wonderful year the band have organized a very special gig in the Union Chapel in London. Beginning the festive season in style, the band will be joined by a specially curated bill featuring friends and well wishers.
Slow Club will play the following date:
December 1st – Union Chapel, London
