Former Guns N Roses guitar slinger Slash has praised the band’s forthcoming comeback single ‘Chinese Democracy’ in a new interview on US radio.
Slash was a founder member of the group and his iconic guitar playing was a major part of the band’s phenomenal success. Debut album ‘Appetite For Destruction’ was a global best seller, but perhaps the guitarist’s most memorable moment was his appearance in the grandiose video for ‘November Rain’.
Of course, it all went tragically wrong and Slash exited the band in the mid 90s, citing huge creative differences with lead singer Axl Rose – now the sole remaining member of the original line up.
Slash was interviewed on Boston radio station WBCN 104.1 FM, when he was played the new Guns N Roses single ‘Chinese Democracy’. The guitarist replied “That sounds cool. It’s good to hear (Axl Rose) voice, you know?”.
Dr Pepper recently announced that they would give everyone in the United States a free can on the release of the full Guns N Roses album ‘Chinese Democracy’. The only people not included? Former guitarists Slash and Buckethead.
Guns N Roses release ‘Chinese Democracy’ in the UK on November 24th.
