Blackburn's Sky Valley Mistress have a scorched rock aesthetic.
A band who soar towards the horizon in search of the unknown, their new album 'Faithless Rituals' lands on March 20th.
Out via New Heavy Sounds, the record is teased by bold, emphatic new single 'Skull & Pistons'.
It's a vivid return, with that crunching riff making way for some of the band's most nuanced, in-depth songwriting yet.
Crystallising their underground charms, the video takes Sky Valley Mistress out into the Californian desert.
Filmed by Connor Quayle, Graham Aspinall and Sky Valley Mistress, and edited by Ged Murphy, it taps into counter-cultural style while underlining their independence.
Guitarist Sean ‘Starsky’ Berry comments…
'Skull & Pistons' is about a Max’s (drummer) leather jacket and the cool things he's done in it, the video shows the band's coolest journey to the desert to record their debut album.
It was an obvious choice for a debut single and although this jacket is literally now falling of his shoulders it makes a cameo in this film.
Tune in now.
